Hello Readers and Adventurers!
Our shared planet is rich with art, music, poetry, spices, dance, language, and many, many stories. Every day people are becoming more connected across neighborhoods, countries, continents, and oceans – let’s join them! Across the U.S., our libraries have adopted the summer reading theme “One World, Many Stories.” This offers a perfect opportunity to explore some of the incredible gifts of our human family.
With the help of a global team, I’ve created a resource guide (in two versions – one is text with more descriptions and the other is pictorial) to enrich the One World, Many Stories experience.
But I know there are so many terrific resources for exploring our world…
Please comment here in the blog or join the Facebook conversation to share resources that you love to use or have just stumbled upon.
This is gonna be a terrific summer for exploring our world – wherever we are!
To add to the terrific resources you already have, I suggest documentaries, such as from SnagFilms. All of these are free. (Some are sponsored by Goldman Sachs.)
Here’s are some that would be interesting for kids and can be viewed on the internet.

Do consider adding Barefoot Books anthologies of folktales and other global titles to your resources! They are lovely, high-quality books. Thank you for a wonderful resource! I will certainly use many of the ideas in my summer storytimes and activities!
